foreign literature-diamonds in the rough

i am a huge fan of Haruki Murakami.

i have read all his novels, and become very interested in japanese literature and culture in general.

i ve also read two books of Banana Yoshimoto which i really liked, and Riyu Murakami as well.

What books do you suggest from modern Japanese literature?

Is there a foreign country literature you generaly admire and suggest?
