I'm trying to figure out how a book blog tour works and see if I can get on one. This is all new to me, so that's why I'm asking. I just got my first book Blood of Ancient Kings set up on Ingram…Continue

I've not had much time to do anything recently, but it's a good thing. I've been invited to join a group of local authors run a cart at a mall. We take turns at the cart selling our books. In a book store your book is just like hundreds of others sitting waiting to be picked up. At the cart we can interact with the people walking past and tell them about our books. As the holidays approach we should see an increase in sales, but selling 1 book is better than selling 0.
If standing in…

Okay since I self published and can't afford much in advertising, I've gotten creative. I've got a few books on consignment at a couple of local book stores including one that's a D&D hangout/comic store. I've also started standing around at a kiosk in a local mall asking everyone, "Can I tell you about my book?" That's working out pretty good. I'm not above dressing up in a medieval costume to go with my medieval fantasy books, which has gotten me a free booth at a renaissance fair.…

I suppose I should give a bit of an introductions to start with. I've always enjoyed reading and writing, but never had much success when I tried writing a journal. I guess it just isn't in me, so I've spent around 25 years writing novels that I've just started publishing. After a costly lesson in publishing companies with a single novel, I fired them and found a local printer. Since December of 2011 I've published six novels. I now have my novels on several ebook formats as well.
It…

Hi, My name is anita buice and I'm new to Book Blogs. I would love to follow your work and if you'd send me a link to anitawbuice@gmail.com, I will. My site is anitabook.com as in "I need a book." I would LOVE for you to check it out and if you like it get ready to send me some books to review. My address is anita buice, 202 Richards Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117. Then just look for the review on anitabook.com. If you could send multiple books I would use them for giveaways to promote your work and my site. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for the time and effort that it takes to make this happen. Blessings, anita of anitabook.com

Welcome to Book Blogs! (:
We are a new YA book blog, we're pretty new here too, but we're getting used to it. We promise, it won't be long until you do, as well. (:
We'd love it if you’d come and check us out at: http://characterized.blogspot.com/

I am rather new too. I think I started earlier this year. This is the site that told me about how to publish through Createspace and KDP. I am new at book promoting too. If you have any advice on how to do that, please let me know. I seem to be managing to make a variety of mistakes os far.

I would be honored too. Could you review my book if I buy you a kindle copy? I think sending a PDF might qualify as distributing it in digital form. (I am trying to learn these things.) Or you can wait until I put it up as free which I will do soon. I just need to hear back if my facebook fan page is okay from me three friends. (I have a tendency to get nervous and blow it on writing on bios and promo stuff.)

I found myself wanting to read your book. The moral that seemed to be described about treating people the way that you want to be treated is a good moral. I just don't have much money to buy books right now. Sorry. I wish I could buy around half of the books that I see but can't afford to.

I was reading a post of yours but I couldn't figure out where to respond. So, I came here. Your book that you are making a pamphlet for sounds very interesting. I don't see anything that you need to change but I may have missed something since I got distracted by the interesting story.

Welcome to Book Blogs! I'm Kate, a young adult author. My debut novel Taste has just been released by Crescent Moon Press last April 30, 2012.
At Barinkoff Academy, there's only one rule: no students on campus after curfew. Phoenix McKay soon finds out why when she is left behind at sunset. A group calling themselves night students threaten to taste her flesh until she is saved by a mysterious, alluring boy. With his pale skin, dark eyes, and mesmerizing voice, Demitri is both irresistible and impenetrable. He warns her to stay away from his dangerous world of flesh eaters. Unfortunately, the gorgeous and playful Luka has other plans.
When Phoenix is caught between her physical and her emotional attraction, she becomes the keeper of a deadly secret that will rock the foundations of an ancient civilization living beneath Barinkoff Academy. Phoenix doesn’t realize until it is too late that the closer she gets to both Demitri and Luka the more she is plunging them all into a centuries old feud.
