1.
I love book fairs like BEA09.
The first hour I always walk around like a happy idiot, enjoying the different stands, and the hustle and bustle of book sluts from around the world. The second hour I still like being there, I smile at strangers and admire their cleavage. The third hour I start getting sarcastic. The fourth hour I want to kill everybody.
Yes, BookExpo America (BEA09) is great and exhausting at the same time. There are too many self-help books for…

Times of a BrimTier Pirate, part 2 of The BrimTier Chronicles
Life in the twenty third century hasn’t gotten any easier for the members of Phoenix Enclave. They are learning you win some and you lose some and that the admittedly criminal life they have chosen is a doubled edged sword. Their convictions are being tested hard, forcing some to reassess their commitment to the cause of helping the less fortunate. At the…

Most would greet this novel's subject matter with discernment or with chagrin, rather than read this book. But before judging it harshly, please be aware Barry Lyga handles the issue of sexual abuse with great care. Before delving into the book, I had my own reasons for not reading the novel. Yet some issues such as the sexual abuse of minors is definitely relevant and crucial for a time where sex offenders are prevalent. And where the psychological damage reaped upon the victim can really…

While as a newly published author who is trying to market and sell my own novel I know this will seem like an insane plan and readers will wonder, why is she promoting another writer's books?! Well, in this crazy, dog-eat-dog world we live in I honestly believe that we all need to help each other and if I like something I want people to know it.
On Lulu.com and a couple on Amazon.com now any read who enjoys action/thrillers or military themed books will just love the books by Roger…

Perry Ennis, author of, "

- We are in the last generation, and the world events that are fulfilling end time prophecies are happening very quickly. It is very important that we understand what is going on, so we can prepare for the difficult times…

Jennifer Johnson is Sick of Being Single!
Finally, a truly honest book about what it is like to be single, date, love, and make mistakes. I loved this book from start to finish. Well, the finish isn't exactly what you would expect...it isn't your typical predictable, sappy, everybody wins, ride off into the sunset, this is REAL life, RIGHT?! I could not put this book down. I can now say that I have finally read a book that made me laugh on every page! Heather McElhatton did an…

Werewolf Sanctuary by Eva Gordon
Paranormal Romance- May 6th, 2009
4 stars
I typically tend to be more passionate about reading vampire novels when it comes to the supernatural fiction collection. But I could not help but become intrigued with this shifter book! It had all the elements that grab your attention. I found it an exhilarating page turner from the beginning to end.
Werewolf Sanctuary begins with a…

I'm so excited to be doing a book signing in the quaint little town of Ligonier, PA. Second Chapter Books is a tiny independent book store situated in a little nook of a store straight out of a fairytale, along Main Street, just above the gazebo in the picturesque town square. Second Chapter Books offers a lovely children's section with books and gifts and niceties of all kinds. Second Chapter Books also offers gifts such as Yankee candles and many other trinkets for young and old alike. The…

I have a few book series that I follow in the mystery world, and the thing is that I'm so excited when a new one comes out that I buy it the day it is released. And that's only if I haven't pre-ordered it on Amazon once I get word a new one is coming out. But then I get the book, get my fix, and it's over, and it may be over a year until the next one comes out. Then I'm really bummed. Is it just me or is there anyone else out there who has this problem?
Like I just finished…

The first book in the Seasons of Grace series. I loved Beverly Lewis' Daughters of Abram series. So, I had high hopes for this one, and while I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. Like the title states, this is a novel full of secrets and questions.
The story revolves around the Byler family. Mother Lettie is haunted by secrets from her past, father Judah struggles with his wife's discontent and is unable to do anything about it, daughter Grace…

Yesterday was one of those horrible unfortunate days that perhaps hit us all from time to time. First of all, I suffered a computer crash, and though I got most everything back again, my e-mail program has been inoperable since then and I have to wait until someone comes out to the house to see if I can get it back. If not, I'll lose a whole load of important emails, attachments, and contacts.
Then, my father-in-law, who was on a visit to our home, suffered a small stroke while he…
