Any Judy Garland fans on this list?

Reason I ask, she's become my platform, ever since I spent a harrowing eight weeks with her in 1968.

Tried to rescue her from her demons: drugs and alcohol. Didn't work, (and almost cost me my health) but got such an intense, up-close view of this extraordinary lady that I was able to publish a memoir, Heartbreaker, about the experience. So now I'm known as The Judy Garland Guy. Well, when God gives you lemons....so I sat down and wrote a novel, and…

Lagan Love takes the traditional love story and ramps it up several notches. - Douglas R. Cobb

Ireland has produced more than its fair share of talented authors and poets: James Joyce, Patrick Kavanaugh, Austin Clarke, Brendan Behan, William Butler Yeats, and many more. With his stunning debut novel, Lagan Love, Peter Murphy is well on his way to adding his name to that impressive list. Named after an Irish song, Lagan Love is an atmospheric tour de force set during the Celtic Twilight in mid-1980s Ireland. This romance with supernatural overtones evokes the pagan beliefs that still…

Series, yeah, Trestle Press has those!

I am undoubtedly an oldhead. I can remember so far back that people used to write on stone tablets, animal skins and then on parchment paper. My point in this is that I also remember reading stories like the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The Executioner, The Death Merchant, Nick Carter and Encyclopedia Brown. Every week when I went to the library I would try to find a new installment in a series I was following and just enjoy it, devour it and look forward to the next or perhaps finding a new one…

Jeff Abbott’s “Adrenaline” giveaway contest it continues due to the Hurricane

I have been away from the internet it seems like forever, but in reality just since last Friday, and in this day and age that is forever isn’t it? Thankfully the novels I have to giveaway have survived the hurricane and tornado that breezed by; I put them up in a safe place, and now I need to bring this contest and giveaway to a fun and fulfilling end. I have 5 of Jeff Abbott’s “Adrenaline” novels to give out and am looking forward to making some people happy.

To that end, just do a…

Lenanshee Shenanigans by Noreen O’Rinn

Ireland is a land replete with tales of the supernatural. It is a place where the Banshee’s cry can be heard on the crest of the wind; it is a place where fairy rings are respected and left untouched; it is a place where the wee folk troop around the countryside. Most of all, it is a place where the uncanny resides in the Irish psyche despite its professed Catholicism. The romance of Irish mysticism is as intoxicating as its Poitin, and has enthralled listeners and readers for…

Losing the one you love

I’ve just returned home after another session with my Psychiatrist, today has really not gone well. I was asked to visit a place that had so many bad memories for me. Dealing with the sexual side of my rehabilitation is a killer. I know that I need this psychotherapeutic treatment, because I am drowning in my own pain. How do I put into words the shear agony that I feel inside when I revisit that place. It feels like someone is tearing out the very heart of me, leaving me feeling hollow and… Continue

Finding Anna Book 2

With Slave finally in the hands of readers, I've had quite a few questions regarding the next book. I thought this would be a good time to answer them. :)

The most common question I get is when will the next book be out. I know that I'm an indie author, but I'm going traditional on this. One book in this series will be released per year until it's done. So unfortunately, that means that book 2 will be available next year sometime in the summer months. I don't have an exact release… Continue

Happy Birthday Erica S. Perl - August 31

It is crazy hectic at our house right now! School has started for my wife and daughter.  I am home with my 2 boys -- collectively we are known as "The Dudes" -- packing up our house in preparation to move. Not to mention,  I have to prepare for my fantasy football draft! With everything going on I thought, No household could be any more wild than ours, as my daughter packs her own boxes, my 3-year-old son has chosen to wash the dishes and my youngest is unpacking the boxes that we left… Continue

Review of The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

An incredibly wonderful/beautiful story of a young girl living and growing up in Nazi Germany that celebrates the Human Spirit. While the story is not the happiest at times, the author Mark Zusak works a very unique narrative that leaves you incredibly fulfilled and inspired. He uses the idea of books and words to play an important part in… Continue

Author Publishes Book of short Stories

The tenth anniversary of 9/11 will be here soon. Are you one of the many women who gave birth on that horrible day?  If you answered yes, are you prepared to talk about that experience with your child? I have two friends who gave birth on 9/11.  Their story inspired me to write a short story titled: "My Birthday is September Eleven."

I have…

Robert Browne "The Paradise Prophecy"

Just to make sure I touch the bases with this and do this incredible novel justice, I just want to make sure that you know I did have a Q&A with this author on my blog last week. Feel free to hit the archives from last week and enjoy the read, he gave some really good answers to my questions; basically he did the best he could with what I threw at him. He hit all the questions out of the park for home runs; I wanted to post that before my take on his work. I was hoping to gain more…

The Hand of God and My “Status”

Hello everybody! Yes, I am still alive and so are my wife and kids. A “Funny” thing happened on the way to experiencing an earthquake, a hurricane and a tornado all in the span of four days. Why is that “Funny”? Well let’s see, I can really write pages on this subject. In fact I have, and they are in the able hands of Big Daddy Abel the guy that let me jazz with him on “The Edge of Cataclysmic”. The Author’s Lab/Collaboration story just wrote itself for me. I started with the flood we had in…

P.S. To My Fist Blog

If you know anyone willing to read and write the review I find impossible to explain, please let them know I am willing to send them a copy of the memoir in any format they desire. I have the galley in PDF format, I can send them a printed copy, or will pay for a Kindle or Barne's and Noble's nookbook edition. I am having enough trouble trying to figure out how to design my blog pages at the moment.

An Intoduction As To Who This "Crazy Old Fox" Is.

Hello to all you friends out there who love to read and write. I've only been learning to blog the past few weeks because my publisher insisted on it. That's after he published my controversial memoir, Confessions Of A Crazy Fox. It made its debut in July and is available on Amazon. After working tirelessly on it for ten years, I thought I was done with writing for awhile. Wrong! Now I was expected to explain what about and why I wrote my most personal thoughts that spanned…

Katiana Kay

Once upon a time, a beautiful baby girl was born.  She had ten perfect little toes and ten long fingers.  Her momma called them the fingers of a pianist.  She also had the biggest, blue eyes that revealed so much.  She had more expression than any newborn her momma and daddy had ever seen.

Her parents were so excited to bring her home and introduce her to her sisters and begin their life with their now completed family.  After just a few weeks, her parents began to realize something…
