alive and kicking

I dreamed I was a warrior. I dreamed of battles, I dreamed of feats, I dreamed of lands unconquered.

I dreamed of a butterfly—soft, untouched—taking flight. Irregular flight.

I dreamed I was alive…and kicking.

I dreamed the world—my world—was perfectly round. I dreamed of friends. I dreamed I was ready for myself.

I dreamed I was bathing in a crystal clear mountain stream. I dreamed the trees were in communion—with a huge, flat,…

I know what I'm doing this weekend....

Was very sensible this book shopping trip (mainly because the books available were largely comprised of “Fifty Shades of Earl Grey” and Mills and Boon – what is this world coming to?!?) although I couldn’t BELIEVE that the only Easton Ellis book available was American Psycho – so Glamorama might have to be an Amazon jobbie. Did purchase the following however…

Choke – Chuck Palahniuk

Haunted – Chuck Palahniuk

Fahrenheit 451 – Ray Bradbury

So you probably wont be hearing…

Rock ‘n Roll’s Great White (North) Hope: The Sheepdogs Graze North America

On Saturday, July 14th, The Sheepdogs” played at radio station102.1 The Edge’s venerable concert series “Edgefest” in Toronto.  The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, rock and blues foursome were unveiling new material before a raucous crowd of Jägermeister and beer imbibing sun-fried 18-34 year olds.  Most of the audience had only just recently become acquainted with the band’s harmony-rich and guitar bluesy (Lynyrd Skynyrd/CCR/Allman Brothers) tinged guitar and (CSN/TheBand/Guess Who) style…

ALTERED: Chapter Three

Chapter Three:

They're saying that they last spotted me at a town buying clothes, shoes, a toothbrush, toothpaste and a bottle of water...which is all true, but still! That means they're near. My thoughts are interrupted when I hear a knock on the door. Surely it's not the family that owns this house.
