Imagine, you start your ideal job for a company that promotes living in space. The crazy side of that job is you despise heights, while everyone you work with cannot wait to leave the Earth. This was the situation Samantha Gerris found herself in. She thrived on working for Space Island Group but at any thought of leaving the ground, her anxiety kicked in. She managed to avoid this fear of hers, until she meets the… Continue

I may not have encountered all vampire stories that are out there, but many feature a love-struck woman that desires to become a vampire or one that is compelled into becoming one. For example, the Twilight series has the girl lead ready to give up her humanity throughout most of the series. It was refreshing to read Fledgling: Coiree Guardians as this did not feature what most of these tales do: A tall and thin woman… Continue

TELL ME A STORY

Remember when the day ended with a bedtime story?

I remember my mother reading a picture book I already knew by heart. When he was home from sea duty, my father would spin stories of his childhood in the South. Sometimes he'd recite scenes from “Gone With the Wind,” changing his voice to fit each character. Okay, that may have been a little over the top. Self Published Books

I love the masterful writing of the pros, but I have decided to give the independents and self-published authors a chance. Let's face it, I'm curious! So, I went to lulu.com and ordered six sci-fi novels. I can't wait to receive them! I hope they will be every bit as good as they look.

New Book

Hey everyone! I'm new here, so I hope this kind of post is ok. I'm a freshman in highschool who apparently has a "way with words" and I've been encouraged to write a book. I just started it, so I'll be posting chapters every now and then for people to read. Please message me with any questions or advice!!!

Also, add me on Tumblr at 1fancycookie.tumblr.com for more of my writing.

Terry Pratchett Audio Books

Well, I've been on a Terry Pratchett Audio Book kick lately, right now I'm listening to Going Postal... and I've already listened to and reviewed both A Hat Full of Sky and Nation.

You can find my reviews HERE

If you've never listened, I highly recommend it... especially the Tiffany Aching/Nac Mac Feegle series. Listening to Stephen Briggs do the Mac Feegle voices is hilarious!

Grief........Nothing bonds better :)

Move over reality shows now we have reality nightmares. For instance we

have screeching females in a graveyard bathed in a greenish hue (MTV, I

got a fright today morning when some hyper woman was screaming

“Ranvijay” in a early morning promotion)

We also have something called "Buddies" where the same buddies are

plotting with and against others on how to win over females (Channel

V) and “dates" out on with a gay specimen of a host (Again… Continue
