What Makes A Hero

So in a few months my first book titled Dawn of The Shadow will be released. In it I made a hero called Shadow. I wont go into to much about him but he takes the name as an omage to a dark presence he has within himself. It becomes his way splitting himself between who he is and who he really is.

My question is what really makes a hero. Is it personal sacrifice or is it a need to serve something greater then themselves? Most writers I admit create differing reasons for the creation… Continue

THE BADASS BUREAUCRAT

FORWARD

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a

thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

—William Jennings Bryan

This book began to take shape one cool May afternoon in

2000. Retired since 1998, I had been content walking my big

yellow lab COSMO around and chauffeuring my youngsters here

and there. For me, at long last, the rat race had ended.

Pilar is the youngest of my three daughters… Continue

Author
IS GOD DEAF?

A recent popular song questions whether God really cares. Is there any truth to that idea? My recent book, Keys To Destiny, addresses this issue in the section entitled Simeon-God Hears where it goes on to say that God's ways are above our ways. In fact, the Bible says God cares so much he even numbers the hairs on our head. His answers or seeming lack thereof come from a divine perspective beyond space and time. In addition, there is an enemy of our souls, the devil, who attempts…

Author Tip #1 - Editing And Proofreading

"So, while I gave up the notions of publishing at that time, I never stopped editing and refining that book. A few years later, in 1987, I thought I had it ready to go out again."

R. A. Salvatore

After your masterpiece is complete or even while it is still in the works your book will require editing. No matter the topic and no matter how good of a writer you may think you are you will always need editing.

Editing is fast becoming a requirement to getting… Continue

CHASING THE INVISIBLE

I was sitting in my room infront of my window gazing outside the beautiful raindrops that aspire me to think so much about life....i felt that mediocrity & anonymity are the two safest choice & if i choose to be different i would be gone with the wind....i learnt something that day-DONT BOTHER TRYING TO EXPLAIN YOUR EMOTION...LIVE EVERYTHING AS INTENSELY AS YOU CAN & KEEP WHATEVER YOU FELT AS A GIFT FROM GOD..IF U THINK THAT YOU WONT BE ABLE TO STAND A WORLD IN WHICH LIVING IS MORE… Continue

A Cat's Eye View of Life and Love Book Review

Have you ever just looked at your cat and swore “that cat knows something it’s not telling me.” The eyes, expressions and even reactions prove cats have more going on than they get credit for. Most people think that cats just eat, sleep, use the litter box and repeat. Cat owners and lovers know differently. Some cats meow, others chitter, and some make weird peeps but all of them try their darnest to speak to us. It’s not our fault they are just speaking another language we humans cannot… Continue

Valles

Asi me siento mejor, relajando mis sentidos,

alumbramiento. Exploramos un sin fin de mundos y

trastiendas, oscuras, y con luz. Llenas de… Continue

Unwillingly sidetracked*?

Goals - almost everybody has them, but not all of us know how to go for them. How many times have you set a goal or made a resolution, then only discover at the end of the year that you somehow drifted off the mark of where you wanted to be? Well, if you did not miss your mark due to an “Act of God,” then maybe your mind had something to do with it. The human mind is a creature of curiosity. When it is unregulated, that curiosity turns the mind into sort of a puppet to everything that… Continue

Miller's Diary

Miller's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today I have dropped the case. I won’t look into it any further . I thought it might have been a murder but it’s the strangest damn thing I have ever seen.

I come to the crime scene. The police are very hush hush. More so than usual. The windows were broken. The glass crunched under my feet. Dead crows laid across the floor. They were impaled. As I looked down I saw that they had died because they flew through the window. They busted into it until… Continue

Saucer By Stephen Coonts

Saucer By Stephen Coonts

Over all rating: A surprising fun thrill Ride

Being a fan of sci-fi thrillers, I gave it a try. Not to mention it was given to me. It’s a simple novel called Saucer written by Stephen Coonts. The write up doesn’t explain much. The cover just has a picture of saucer on it, giving the reader no real clue of what their about to read,

So what is it about? It starts off with a archeological team and oil drillers that stumble across something shiny in the… Continue
