Something on my Mind

You know how you get when you haven’t had something in a while. You start thinking about it all the time. Wondering, how will I get that? When will I get that?

That thing becomes an obsession.

I want it. No, I need it.

Luckily for authors, when we want something, all we have to do is write about it. Once the words are on the page, they are as good as real to us. That desire is fulfilled. We have gotten that thing we…

Good YA

So lately on my Tumblr tag books (of course) I’ve seen a lot of people searching for quality Young Adult fiction. Ever since Twilight it seems as if there has been a downward spiral in the quality of YA which is really a shame since I used to read A LOT of YA because it was usually so much better then the adult fantasy/sci-fi (mostly because at the time I was still a little too young to really wrap my head around the hard core science in most adult sci-fi and fantasy books lol). And it was…

Book Review: Shadows of Kings, by Jack Whitsel

Two centuries ago, the Temple Initiates made up the Order of the Dragon, named after the Great Dragon Shyrdasa that once lived within Dragon Park. Legend told that a group of knights once helped the Dragon and her unborn young. As a reward for their valor, the Dragon awarded them secret knowledge, martial powers and magic. The Dragon also chose women throughout the Hugue to serve…

New Novel, "Jo-Bri and the Two Worlds"

My second novel, "Jo-Bri and the Two Worlds" has just been published. "Jo-Bri" is a Science Fiction Fantasy novel about a teenage wizard from a sword-and-sorcery world who is chased by an evil sorcerer into modern day Montana. A mixture of "Twilight" and "Stranger in a Strange Land," it's a fast-paced, action packed love story and fantasy, and a frank look at the world we live in, through the eyes of an alien wizard and the young Earth woman he falls in love with. And through it all, the…

Book review: The Immortality Virus, by Christine Amsden

Christine Amsden’s second novel, The Immortality Virus, raises an intriguing question: Is it really all that wonderful to find the secret of immortality and live forever?

It’s the 21st century and the world is being ruled by The Establishment, a totalitarian government made of an elite few. People don’t age anymore. As a result, overpopulation has…
