Da nce On Fire - a review
Dance On Fire by James Garcia Jr. is definitely NOT your typical vampire tale. Nathaniel is a rogue vampire in that he actually has a good heart and does not want to hurt humans. Apparently he escaped from his creator, an evil vampire named Vincent. Vincent is now on a quest to find Nathaniel. When he finds him in a small California town, all hell breaks loose. The annual Swedish festival is about to take place, but grizzly murders begin showing up in the otherwise peaceful town. Vincent…

PROLOGUE
In the dead of the night in SkyVerse, the hidden sanctuary in the mountains, when all fae should be sleeping and the creatures of the sky rest, Cordelia awoke to the sound of an insistent banging on her door. She stumbled out of bed, rubbing her eyes and filled with the need to sleep, and approached her door. Looking through her peephole she sees nothing, and almost decides to stumble on back to bed, when the sound of a baby’s cry pierces the silence.…

Ok vampire books have been hyped up and over done in my opinion. Back in April I found my love of reading again and was willing to read pretty much anything and everything. A friend of mine recommended The house of night series to me and I laughed in her face because let's be honest, since Twilight, I did not want to read another vampire book. So one day as I'm looking on goodreads.com, these books were recommended to me and I figured what the heck so I picked the first 3 books (all 3 were…

Here is the first part of my newest book, Tainted Blood.
Chapter One
Dr. Wendy Reed flipped open the chart and read through the test results looking for anything she might have missed the three previous times she had read them. Sighing, she closed the chart and knocked quickly on the exam room door before entering.
“Paul,” Dr. Reed greeted the older man sitting in a chair against the wall. Putting the chart down, she took the seat across from…

The vampires’ blood products had never been considered vulnerable to tampering, so when the cause of death…

On the Soul of a Vampire - a review
On the Soul of a Vampire by Krisi Keley was not at all what I expected. It is a deeply emotional and introspective look at one ‘man’s’ search for meaning in life. (Or in this case, one ‘vampire’.) Written primarily in first person from the point of view of Valery Castellene, a vampire of some 800 years, we see and feel his inner pain as he struggles with his existence. Convinced that he is evil incarnate, yet still subconsciously wishing to be good, Valery’s emotional conflict is the…

Book Giveaway and Review: Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
I won Paranormalcy by Kiersten White in a recent Giveaway Hop and am delighted to pay it forward by hosting a giveaway for it. But first things first – oh yeah, the review. This is Book #1 in the Paranormalcy Trilogy and I couldn’t be happier that it’s a series. This YA paranormal fantasy series features one of the funniest, most loveable, kick-butt heroines I’ve come across in a long time. It’s easy to see how this novel made the New York Times…
