Not Sold on the Wii U (Part 2 of 2, Yes I Kept it to 2)

Sorry blog-readers part two of this blog has been so long in coming. I’ve been immensely productive on our book series. I completed two full proofing runs of Shade II, seven more chapters of Elf Wars, three totally new chapters of the finished book one of Adventure Series and even six full chapters of the completely overhauled Triloriad. As result, the importance of my ranting on the Wii U felt small by comparison. That said, let me jump back on the whine wagon.

Ok, ok, onto my…

Not Sold on the Wii U (Part 1 of 2, Maybe 3 Week Rant)

I thought I’d take a break from our regular content that revolves around our insanely overblown fantasy world and talk about something off subject. As all of my friends know I’ve been a loyal Nintendo fan since the original console. I have been loyal to every Nintendo console owner, owning every single system from the original NES to the Wii with the exception of the Gamecube. I have owned no other system but the Playstation 2 which I bought used post generation and an imported Japanese…

Using Kickstarter to Offset Self-Publishing Costs

A lot of self-published writers are turning to crowd-funding sites to raise the money they need for professional services or to offset other costs associated with self-publishing a book.  Among the many sites out there, I had decided, a few months back, to try Kickstarter.com and raise the money I needed for a high-end editor.

I spent a lot of time comparing successfully funded campaigns against those that failed and found that two things matter most; presentation and motivation.…

I have a not-for-profit company called, "Parting Thoughts." We video record the life stories of seniors and hospice patients. Our mission is: To provide a LIfe Review DVD to every hospice patient in Utah who desires one free of charge." We are subsidizing our efforts through grants, donations and the sale of our upcoming How-to manual. This is where I need some help. Merry Christmas to you! Hallelujah Chorus

Everytime I hear Handel's Messiah Chorus, I start crying. I can't explain why, but I do. So many different emotions just rush through and before they even get to the fifth 'Hallelujah', the water is turned on and going full force. It's really embarrassing. There are times I wish I didn't cry so easily. I get picked on ~ A LOT. But I can't seem to help it. Beautiful things do that to me (as well as sad things.) When my hubby showed me this video, I left the room - FAST. I had to go all the way… Continue

"...the times and travels of an american bluesman."

SOUL-PATROL.com PRESS RELEASE :

"As you all know, in my humble opinion, Billy Jones is one of the most compelling artists around on today's NuBlues music scene.

For his latest album, he has put together a collection of his best songs on a single album called "The Billy Jones Story." This is something that I wish more artists should do with some of the outstanding music they have released and I am glad to see that Billy has taken that step.

These songs are…

Video Trailer for TORN

I just recently finished creating my new video book trailer for my novel TORN. Probably because I am new to the entire video creation process, it took me 5 days using Windows Movie Maker. It was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun. I learned a lot and wouldn't mind trying to make another version of the video at a later date after I see how people respond to this one. If you have a book out and are considering making a trailer, I highly recommend it. It's just one more way to reach out… Continue
