Crumbs on the Stairs written and Illustrated by Karl Barckstrand

This is a bilingual book with English writing translated to Spanish on the same page. In a country were many people speak Spanish this book could help teach the English language to both the Spanish speaker’s children and to their parents. It could also help teach non-Spanish speakers a foreign language.

The story in this book goes from one room to another, or from one person to another, as the readers are shown trails of crumbs leading everywhere. Meanwhile, the narrator asks where…

From Spice to Eternity by Yvonne Pat Wright

This is an excellent mix between spices and the meaning of our Savior’s gift to us. This is an excellent book that puts together the pure and true love of our Savior without overdoing it. The writing is fluid and especially simple, so everyone can understand. It is the kind of book that inspires you to get out of bed in the morning and do some good.

The book is beautifully crafted to contain Yvonne’s personal stories and how they have inspired her to be closer to the Lord. The stories…

The Orphan of Awkward Falls by Keith Graves

This is one of the most charming books I have read for a while. It has a Halloween-y feel to it and kids from 7 years old on will love it. It is written in an easy English, lightly witty and flowingly well done. It will be a refreshing read for all boys and girls who don’t get scared of their shadows. It has the most intriguing cover, a perfect picture of what you will find inside the pages of this book. Released just in time for Halloween, I recommend it as a “must have,” for every English…

Three for Avadar by Steven R. Drennon

The writing in Three for Avadar is simple and should be understood by anyone with basic English reading skills. The tale hasn’t been overused and the author did a good job with the theme. It has some repetition in it, yet not enough to make the book tiresome. A good editor should be able to clean and tidy it up easily into a great story.

The story starts with a handsome and very experienced warrior who comes upon a woman and her two escorts who are under attack by…

Dragons of the Valley by Donita K. Paul (Readersfavorite.com review)

The writing in this novel is fluid, entertaining, and interesting. The author did a good job of developing the tale through the pages of the book.

An artist, a princess, and a wizard find themselves tangled in an interesting plot to move three statues from their place to some un-known location. The three statues were carved from the same piece of rock by a God. When separated they will cause disruption in the normal lives of all the races in that land.

Then why would anyone…
