Happy Birthday Wendell Minor - March 17

My search for books by Wendell Minor at the library gave me quite a thrill this week -- yes, I was actually giddy. I found books about space, animals, history, famous americans, and even Halloween! Happy Birthday James Warhola - March 16

It would come as no surprise that I love hearing birthday stories. Happy Birthday Harry Bliss - March 9

I find birthday cake and picture books irresistible. I am tempted by the decorative icing on a cake and the cover illustrations on a picture book. I savor each bite of a piece of cake and each word on a page in picture book. The first bite of birthday cake is as good as the last word of a great picture book. Happy Birthday Suse MacDonald - March 3

The slogan for my blog, "creating memorable family reading experiences by celebrating children's author and illustrator birthdays" is something I think about as I prepare each birthday celebration.
