It’s been a while…I’ve missed you!

Hi everyone,

It’s been forever since I’ve posted here. I want to tell you everything that has gone on since my last post.

Honestly, I haven’t lost any weight this month (yet – I still have one more weigh-in tomorrow). I gained 2.4 lbs during the first two weeks of the month from not working out much and eating late at night. I’ve lost most of it now, which is great. I’m back to trying not to eat late, which is after 8 pm. I’m doing fairly well with it.

I’ve also…

What Inspires a Nonfiction Writer?

For me, inspiration is a spiritual experience that happens unexpectedly. I simply go about my day while thinking about what I’m doing, what I’ve done, what needs to be done, what I would like to do, what I will do, and suddenly an idea comes to me that perks my interest. I feel inspired to learn about it, which is possibly a new slant on a topic I’m already interested in or something completely unique. I’ll look it up, I’ll buy books on it, and I’ll read until I’ve quenched my…

Weigh-in, Measurements, and BMI

I am SOOO happy right now! Today was my weekly weigh-in and monthly measurements. I’ll cut to the chase. I lost 2.8 lbs this week! My total for the month is a loss of 5 lbs and 3 inches. I also checked my BMI and I am now officially “overweight” and no longer “obese.” I am SO proud of that. As of today, I’ve lost 79 lbs! It took me 13 months to lose that weight. Not all of it was peachy keen weight loss. I plateaued for almost 3 months at one point, which was kind of disheartening. But I…

So Sorry I've Been MIA!

Hi everyone!

I realize I haven’t been around for almost a month. Sorry about that. I’ve been so busy with my home business and my workouts that I haven’t had time to write! I will update you on what has gone on over the last 3 1/2 weeks.

The last time I posted, I had a substantial loss of 4.2 lbs. I continued my lifestyle the same as always, but on the next weigh-in I gained 1.2 lbs. I was devastated, but not discouraged or hopeless. If anything, it made me work harder. The…

Exciting News...

I can barely contain myself. I weighed myself this morning with the thought that I stayed the same weight over the past week – not because I hadn’t eaten well or exercised enough, but because I didn’t feel much different, and I don’t like to get my hopes up. I stepped on the scale and couldn’t believe the number. I had lost 4.2 lbs! Oh my gosh, I was so happy.

I’ve now lost 74 lbs since April 20th, 2012 and I’ve gone from a size 3X/24 to a L/14. Even some of my larges and 14s are too…

Really enjoying working out

Hi everyone. Happy Friday! What are your weekend plans? If the hiking boots I ordered arrive, I’ll be going hiking, probably on Sunday. I’ll probably be power-walking on Saturday, because the weather has just been so nice and I’ve been really enjoying my power-walks. I reached my goal of a 15-minute mile! My usual walk is 1.9 miles. I’m thinking of taking the long route back home, instead of taking a side street, to make it two miles. At least I think it will be two miles; I’ll have to…
