I stole this from Debi who stole it from Becky. Here are the rules:

The rules: Top twenty favourite books in no particular order. Don’t think about it for too long. Take twenty minutes only to compile your list. Bold the ones you’ve read, or reread, since you’ve started blogging. Include novels, non fiction and plays
.

Life After God by Douglas Coupland
Stardust by Neil Gaiman
Fire & Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones
His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman
Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett
Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
The Other Wind by Ursula Le Guin
The Vampire Armand by Anne Rice
The Watermelon King by Daniel Wallace
The Grass Harp by Truman Capote
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett
Death: The High Cost of Living by Neil Gaiman
Eleanor Rigby by Douglas Coupland
Girl With The Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevelier
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
Thud! by Terry Pratchett

It seems that some re-reading is in order. Also, I would probably come up with a slightly different list tomorrow. Or even an hour from now.

Debi, there are some in there I really think you'll love. For example, I can't believe you haven't read Stardust yet! You need to. Soon :P

I tried commenting earlier, but got cut off...so if this ends up showing up twice, I apologize.

Anyway, what I tried to say earlier was that I've only read one on your list (Catcher in the Rye). But I'm looking at the bright side...that means there are at least 19 (or 21 if I count His Dark Materials separately) incredible books out there for me to read! And a few of them I even own already.
