Where are you from? Where did you grow up/live now?

I was born in West London but grew up in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.  Oddly enough I am now back in West London.

 

Which comes first: the character's story or the idea for the novel?

The best stories come from the simplest ideas.   Why do people get into this lifestyle?  That was my first thought for Fifty Shades.

 

On a Friday night, what are you most likely to be doing?

Tweeting, writing, drinking wine… but not necessarily in that order.
