Comment by Philip Lee McCall II on March 13, 2012 at 11:09am

In the year an earth ship first successfully orbited the planet Mars, bestselling writer – Philip Lee McCall II or “PLMII entered the world as we know it. He is a proud native of south Florida and a current resident. Philip has been traversing his limitless imagination since his first encounter with all things fantastic. Philip is deeply intrigued by history, mythology, religion and science. Most of his writings straddle all these disciplines of knowledge. He is well-read from the classics of fiction to modern fantastic writers. He is a fan of Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, J.R.R Tolkien, Edgar Allen Poe, Tim Burton, Jim Henson, R.A. Salvatore, Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman, David Eddings, Terry Brooks and Dr. Seuss to name a just a few. He is also an admitted fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel and DC Comics, also many other great pop-culture films and fiction.

Philip is most famous for his first anthology entitled “Before You Imagine, Forget All You Know”, full of unforgettable short fiction and a reinterpretation poetic verse for the genres of fantasy and science fiction. His fantastically inspired poetry made the form accessible to many who never read poetry before or considered it a dead art form. Philip’s poetic work has been used in educational programs throughout the southeast by innovative teachers looking to bring the poetic form to a whole new generation. Philip’s fan base reaches beyond the United States extending into Europe, South America, Canada and most recently Asia.  Philip is both amazed and thankful that his work has touched so many people from all walks of life. He often states that his success is measured by the faithfulness and persistence of his fans to keep him writing.

Philip is currently working on several full-length fantasy novels, an illustrated dark fantasy collection, and a young adult novel. He is also hard at work completing several new fantasy anthologies. He also attends media conventions regularly and holds writing panels at many of these events.

Philip holds a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology, an MBA in Management and he is currently pursuing a MA in English. Philip is Owner/President of Mythix Studios Inc., he is also a founder of Three Thought Studios.

When he is not creating something fantastic, writing a review for PLMII.COM, or submitting an exclusive review for BoomTron,  BSCKids. Bookspotcentral, or Optionated. Philip lives quietly with his muses, Frances his wife and his daughter Olivia Lee.  They share their magical home in Florida with two Rat Terriers named Merlin and Gypsy.

Please note: If you are an educator and looking to use PLMII’s work in your classroom activities, please feel free to contact the author for further educational materials.
