I am a beast.

Kyle is a typical jock. Handsome, popular and rich. His father is very well-known in the business ring and expects Kyle to keep up his reputation. However, Kyle uses his father's money to bribe teachers and he reckoned he could always get away with what he want. Kyle is selfish and self-centered but has a lot of friends. One day, when Kyle bumped into a weird girl with green hair, Kendra, she said a word that he can't seem to get out of his mind - beastly. Then, he decides to be naughty and play a little prank on Kendra.

Kyle tricked her into being his partner for homcoming even though he already had already invited the most prettiest girl in school. Kendra went along with the plan without a clue. As the plan goes, Kyle managed to trick Kendra into coming. But the weird thing was that Kendra was not in a bit of shocked. However, what was even more shocking was that when Kyle arrived home, he found Kendra sitting inside his room.

Kyle realised Kendra was a witch but it was already too late. She had turned Kyle into an ugly beast as a punishment for being mean to ugly people. Kendra said that Kyle only have two years to find true love and he must get a kiss to break the curse. If not, Kyle will be a beast forever. Could the egoistic Kyle ever understand the meaning of true love? Will he finally get his life as a handsome guy back?

A sweet and light-hearted romantic story based on the Beauty and the Beast set in the modern city of New York. Readers would definitely be captured by Kyle's plight and his search for true love. Personally, I feel that the author had done a great job on narrating Kyle's life after his transformation into the beast. People would be amazed at the feelings and thoughts an ugly person have. Certainly a book that would make you think twice before calling someone ugly ever again.
