Book Review: The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

One of the things that surprised me most about this book was the differing opinions of its readers. I'm coming to realize that you either love it or hate it. Personally, I LOVED it. It's a different kind of book than I generally read. It has a mysterious gothic element that I don't know if I'd call 'fantasy', but there is a certain 'make believe' feel to it. That was part of the appeal for me. However, I've read many reviews that, in my opinion, took the book too seriously and picked the plot apart.
