Everyone wants to me be noticed in a way or two. No ones likes to be ignored. Charlotte Usher was a very good example. See the 'was'? Because this poor girl had died right on the first day of school. And unfortunately, on her path to fame! She got it planning all summer to attract the attention of Damen Dylan. The hot, sporty and gentlemanly guy every girl desire. And he was just nice the last person Charlotte saw before she died, choking on a gummy bear.

Gruesome? Maybe. But Charlotte would not give up yet. She had taken the first step before her death and became Damen's physics partner. She had to tutor him so that he would not be kicked off the football team. And now it was not too late either. Charlotte would stay at Damen's side throughout school without being known. An advantage to being a ghost. Then she arrived at the house where Damen's girlfriend, Petula, lived. And she caught them making out on the bed.

Charlotte decided not to be defeated. She backed out of the room but in horror, Petula's sister, Scarlet screamed upon seeing Charlotte. Then, Charlotte and Scarlet made a plan. Since Scarlet was the only one who could see her, Charlotte would make use of the chance and possess Scarlet's body to hang around Damen. Scarlet would then be given a chance to experience being a ghost.

The twosome thought it was a great idea but things started to back fire. Damen started to fall in love with Scarlet which was actually Charlotte in the act. And lastly, Charlotte found out that in order to move on from the human world, she had to kiss Damen during the Fall Dance. How would she do that? And by interacting too much with the human world, she could be causing all other ghost around her to be denied of a chance to gain enlightment too. Could Charlotte salvage the situation before it was too late?

A humourous read with a terribly interesting plot. I liked how Charlotte act and how the ending turned out. And Damen was such a nice guy. One could definitely be hooked onto the story and be mesmerised at what Charlotte did to salavge one problem after another. It could be defined as a quick read but don't say I didn't warn you: you might be haunted by Charlotte long after finishing the book.
