Hey, I'm totally a published author!!

While everyone is getting excited that the rain has finally slowed down a bit and the nice hot, beach-y type weather is back again…and just in time for the weekend, I am doing a whole other kind of celebration.

My on air interview played on Wednesday AND Thursday nights (they are sending me the video so I can post it), my book is now live here  and soon it will be live everywhere else! 

Here’s something really cool, I was ‘recognised’ twice today on my way into work, which is awesome since I usually only make one pit stop on the way in, and when I got to work, someone else mentioned the Rogers show I was on.

I can *almost* overlook how bad I know I looked in the spot when all three people said how much they liked the actual interview and how lovely the book covers look.  See, this is why I get the most amazing Mike Wood to do the amazing pictures that you will see of me on my website and on my facebook page.  He’s my hero.  I even used one of the portaits he took of me on the back cover of Spring Daisies. 

Sometimes, I will run into my fan around town.  Yes, singular.  There is a really sweet woman who lives here who, everytime I run into her she will loudly extoll the virtues of my books to anyone who will listen.  It’s pretty awesome.

Years ago, when we still lived in Cambridge and I wrote for the paper, I would get stopped occasionally when people recognised me and wanted to comment on something I had written. It was kind of awesome.  But, I have really gotten used to that no longer happening.  Today just felt a bit like when we lived there and I was in the public eye all the time and I really enjoyed my five minutes of, well okay, not fame, but five minutes of ‘hey, aren’t you that writer girl?’. 

Yes.  Yes I am. 

Soon Spring Daisies will be available on Amazon and through most main book purchasing sources, though sadly, not appearing as a regular on any book store shelves, you can still request for most places to order it in for you if you’re not comfortable ordering it online. 

Three books.  Out there.  In the world. 

Another one ready to go this fall and yet another one currently in the works.

Ian, my dad was born there too!  Last february I went back for the first time since I was 3.  Planning another trip hopefully in the next two years.

Congratulations! Feels great, doesn't it? I can't go to the post office without our Post Lady telling every customer I'm the local celebrity! It's really cool.
