TOOLS FOR THE MAGI IN YOU

Anyone with the proper
tools can become a master of the art that is Magick. The following is a list of
necessities in order of importance:

An open
mind- The mind must be capable of accepting what is bestowed upon it by the
universe. An unbiased view point will make for an easier transition of one’s
appreciation for all things. The imagination is to be free and clear of the
worldly norms. Even if you aren’t willing to try new things at least hear them
out. This is one part of ourselves that we want to remain open.
Knowledge
of Self- This can be seen as a way of protecting the mind from the influence of
outsiders. Knowing who and what you are will ensure that you don’t go following
the crowd. It also includes taking into consideration and confronting your
deepest desires. Hopefully, you will see them for what they really are
–implants from a very influential source. Being aware of what you want and how
to get it without compromising one’s integrity is all apart of knowing
thyself.
Faith in
Self- Your faith is driving you to be what you are and do what you do.
Confidence in whatever you set your mind to do guarantees fulfillment. If you
wish to be something prove it by taking the steps needed to put you in that
position. The bulk of your concentration will manifest itself in faith. This is
the most influential accessory to your Magick.
Calm
spirit- There are many ways to calm the spirit. The most common are prayer and
meditation. You can also use sounds to channel (bring out) energy from within.
If you ever find yourself becoming frustrated during the meditation process
stop and leave the room for at least five minutes, then continue. The last
thing you want is anger and negativity surrounding you. This can also be a way
of purifying the mind. The key factor in the taming of a restless spirit is
patience.
Appreciation
for the Craft- Have respect for your ancestors (the Gods) as well as the
elements. Do not pervert the craft for material gain. The universe has prepared
a path for you- the gifted, all you have to do seek it. Keep the threefold law
on your mind.
Be willing
to sacrifice- You may lose a lot of respect once you accept any change of
lifestyle different than your peers. However, your real friends will value you
even more and level out any feelings of loss from others.
Wisdom- As
a sorcerer common sense just isn’t enough. We are told that wisdom comes with
time; however, it is important that you pay close attention to what time is and
how it correlates to existence. In doing so you are likely to obtain more
[wisdom] in what the majority would consider to be less time.
Truth- People
have a tendency to avoid or run from this. You must be able to look directly at
the truth and show no fear. The end result of this action is you becoming the
truth.

Possession
of the items listed above will bring to light all that may have once been in
the dark. With these tools a transformation of one’s very being will take
place. It would be similar to a shape shift of the mind [mental state] that
will eventually cause change to the exterior [physical world, body]. Felt by
you and noticed by others, this will be your rebirth/awakening. The rules for
governing yourself will coincide with the guidelines of an ever changing
universe. The bringing about of the subconscious to the conscious reality is
man’s destiny in the flesh. We are the gods in human form creating and
directing the world from our minds. As many believe that death is unavoidable
the same can be said of realization. Just remember that life is a nonstop
process of information that can actually guarantee. . . All you have to do is
choose.
