Over the past few months I have ventured into manga. Which are japanese print and comic cartoons.

Naruto

The main character, Naruto Uzumaki, is a loud, hyperactive, unpredictable teenage ninja who constantly searches for recognition and aspires to become a Hokage, the ninja in the village acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all.

I have only read 7 of the many manga books that exist in this series. I love them. These novels are fun and adventurous with great artwork.

The other manga that I have been reading is Hellsing. This is a dynamic tale about vampire hunters in a top-secret organization based in England who's services are expended for only the toughest jobs. Hellsing's top vampire hunter is Alucard, a vampire himself, blows bad guys to smithereens with his arsenal of enormous firearms. It's is an interesting, a fun, violent story. I am huge fan of action packed manga with intriguing plot lines and beautiful artwork. The artwork in Hellsing is nothing short of amazing.

Bleach
This is my favorite manga. This is my addiction.

Kurosaki Ichigo looks just like any average 15 year old teenager with only one big difference; he can see ghosts/spirits. Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami (Death God ) is out on a mission to find an evil spirit called a Hollow. The Hollow’s target is none other than Ichigo. Rukia and Ichigo confront each other for the first time. Ichigo’s family gets endangered by the Hollow and Rukia is badly injured. The only way to save his family is to transfer Rukia's Shinigami powers to Ichigo.

This novel is full of adventure, courage, wisdom, and entertaining characters that I have grown to love. On top of this the novel is humorous and fun loving. The artwork speaks for itself.

Manga was something that I was skeptical about reading. I had the preconceived notion that it was childish. There are vast genres within manga ranging from action to drama and even romance. The dialogue can be both humorous and beautiful.

Quotes from Bleach
"We fear that which we cannot see... we respect that which we cannot see... thus the blade will be wielded." - opening words of the first episode/chapter (Bleach)

"What a letdown, Kurosaki-san. A real letdown. After all, there's nothing but fear reflected in your sword. When you dodge, 'I'm afraid of getting cut.' When you attack, 'I'm afraid of cutting someone.' Even when you try to protect someone, 'I'm afraid of letting them die.' Yes, your sword speaks to me only of absurd fear. That's not it. What's necessary in a fight isn't fear. Nothing can be born from that. If you dodge, 'I won't let them cut me.' If you protect someone, 'I won't let them die.' If you attack, 'I'll cut them.' Well, can't you see the resolve to cut you reflected in my sword?" - Urahara Kisuke

"People have hope
because they cannot see Death standing behind them"

"If I were the rain
That joins sky and earth that otherwise never touch
Could I join two hearts as well?" -Inoue

"We are drawn to each other
Like drops of water, like the planets
We repulse each other
Like magnets, like the colors of our skin"

"I can't protect you without holding a sword.
I can't embrace you while holding a sword."
