Details:
When Henry meets Clare, he is twenty-eight and she is twenty. Henry has never met Clare before; Clare has known Henry since she was six. Impossible but true, because Henry finds himself periodically displaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. Henry and Clare's attempts to live normal lives are threatened by a force they can neither prevent nor control, making their passionate love story intensely moving and entirely unforgettable. The Time Traveler's Wife is a story of fate, hope and belief, and more than that, it's about the power of love to endure beyond the bounds of time.
Rating: 5/5
My first 5-star rated book. for me, a masterpiece. when i saw it on the bookstore years ago, i totally fell in love. When i read the about-the-story paragraph at the back of the book, i can't wait to go home and read it. The title suggested mysteriously. I have this moment of asking myself 'why isn't the title pertains about the wife and not the time traveler-which is I think more intriguing and eye catching."Why is it the author centered mainly in the wife. After that, i had this feeling that when it centers in his wife, it will be more emotional and tragic in nature.
It started from a glimpse of a particular time. then continues with the present, then the past.. then the future. i got confused at the time and how it fastly paced into the climax but it was the reason i keep bracing myself more. I still remember the good experience and how i felt during hile reading. And, you got to admit the cliffhangers?! Totally addicting. ;)
