Summer weather here in the Laurel Highlands of PA has been one gigantic piece of dog doo doo. I'd much rather describe it as mid October weather. Usually by this time of year, I have a nice golden tan from sunbathing by the pool everyday while my kids splash me with water and my electric bill is through the roof from having the A/C pumped up to maximum cooling level. This year, however, I think I can only count the number of times I've been to the pool on one hand; my skin is pale--not pastey pale--just paler than my normal end of July skin; and my electric bill has been almost non-existant. I wasn't able to attend my annual girl's beach trip or even an annual family beach vacation due to the book signings I've been attending. But I'm not complaining! It's been great! The only thing I'm complaining about is the weather :)

And this weekend, I am (as Willie Nelson would sing) "On The Road Again"
PS...I hate country music.

Here is a list of my upcoming book signings...
Saturday, July 25th, Ligonier, PA, Second Chapter Books 1-3 pm
Sunday, July 26th, Hidden Valley, PA, a book release party!!! noon-3
Saturday, August 8th, Pittsburgh, PA, Borders 1-4 pm
Saturday, August 15th, Morgantown, WV, Waldenbooks 1-5 pm

You can check my website www.booksbyshelly.com to check my other out-of-state book signings to see if I'll be in your neck of the woods. I have many more events listed on my website.
