Summary: When mechanic and shapeshifter Mercy Thompson attempts to return a powerful Fae book she'd previously borrowed in an act of desperation, she finds the bookstore locked up and closed down. It seems the book
contains secret knowledge-and the Fae will do just about anything to
keep it out of the wrong hands. And if that doesn't take enough of
Mercy's attention, her friend Samuel is struggling with his wolf
side-leaving Mercy to cover for him, lest his own father declare Sam's
life forfeit. All in all, Mercy has had better days. And if she isn't
careful, she might not have many more to live...

What I thought: Well I have to say I loved this book! Ben is my new favorite character!!! I love he I don't care attitude until he thinks Mercy is dead then he can't seem to make her think he doesn't care for her (as a friend not a new guy moving in on her). I really want to see more of him!!! I think this may have been my favorite book in the series.

The only issue I have with the book is the bowling ally scene. Like Adam wouldn't have known that Mercy would not have done that. I have to say Sam broke my heart in this book but it all worked out for him in the end. I wish I could have seen more of Sam and his new lady...I can't remember her name she went by 3 different ones. I really liked her and approved of her for Sam...which I didn't think I would have.
