That is, she stays at home and does everything that her parents tell her to do, including cooking for her obese mother and cleaning for her angry father. Then a series of small occurrences change Liberty’s life forever, as she takes her fate into her own hands. Talking animals, humans floating through the air, and scoundrels galore populate the pages of Liberty’s adventures and outlandish they are. While the page count is high, there is plenty of white space for the younger reader. This would make a great elementary read aloud – or a cherished book for a parent and child. EL – ADVISABLE.
