Madison MacDonald is seriously freaking out.
Madison thought that her life was going well. She has a new cute boyfriend, three best friends along with a lead in the school play. Her friends had told her to maintain a very important profile on Friendverse that is the newest black for all teenagers. Then she goes along to the Galapagos for spring break where there is not enough internet connection to edit her Friendverse profile. Unfortunately, when Madison was back, she found that her Friendverse account was hacked. Someone had posted nasty stuffs on her blog that targeted all her friends. Also, her top 8 best friend positions have also changed.
Now, almost everyone in the school thinks that she's a slut. They don't believe that her account was really hacked. The critisism on the blog have caused her role in the school play to be kissed goodbye. Madison's boyfriend have been so pissed by her constant talks of breaking up on her blog and how relief she said she was that he had agreed to another girl's confession. The hacker had also flirted with one of Madison's good friend's boyfriend that caused a major break up.
At least Madison's best friends believed her. She must find out who the hacker really is and also get her previous boyfriend back. While Madison questioned her friends' loyalty, she finally realised that the real hacker is closer than she ever thought.
A typical modern book on the seriousness of having a cyber account being hacked. Being hacked means that your personal space is being invaded so being cautious is better than being sorry. In this case, Madison lost most of her friends along with her boyfriend. But what she gained was a lesson learnt and a better undertsanding of who her friends really were. Great for a simple read.
