What I Plan to Read in February
The pick for my main IRL book club is High Fidelity by Nick Hornby.
The pick for my church women's group book club is Adrift: Seventy-Six Days Lost at Sea by Steven Callahan.
The pick for my book lunch group is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.
In preparation for the first of a five-part Community Forum Series sponsored by the Rape Recovery Center on February 12 at the Salt Lake City Library, I'm reading Alice Sebold's Lucky.
During my commuting time, I'm going to be listening to two books from Alexander McCall Smith's series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency: Morality Lessons for Beautiful Girls and The Kalahari Typing School for Men.
Hopefully I will have time for four or five additional books during the month. Among those near the top of my to-read list are these: Plum Lucky and Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Jemima J by Jane Green, The Boy Who Dared by Susan Campbell Bartoletti, The Life You Longed For by Maribeth Fischer, Cross Country by James Patterson, The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff, and Fitting In Is Overrated by Leonard Felder.
