I just finished Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult. This is her most recent novel. I had wanted to read it as soon as it came out, so I put a "hold" on it at the library months ago.

I am currently reading The Ten-Year Nap by Meg Wolitzer, which I received from a publicist for review. I'm hoping to finish it within the next few days so I can get a review posted on my blog.

The pick for my main book club for April is I, Coriander by Sally Gardner.

The pick for my church women's group book club is Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer.

The "book lunch girls" are reading A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini this month. Since I read it last year, I'm not planning to re-read it - but (unless I forget like I did last month) I'll go discuss it with them over Chinese food,

I'm planning to participate in Dewey's 24-Hour Read-a-Thon on April 18, so I'm hoping that that will be a good chance for me to make some progress toward my goal of reading 104 books this year. I'm only on my twentieth book right now - which is seven or eight behind the necessary pace. Among the books I'm considering for the read-a-thon are these:
  • Bones by Jonathan Kellerman
  • The Boy Who Dared by Susan Campbell Bartoletti
  • The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly
  • Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
  • Hot Lunch by Alex Bradley
  • Pigboy by Vicki Grant
  • Princess Ben by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
  • Rapunzel's Revenge by Shannon Hale, Dean Hale, and Nathan Hale
  • Schooled by Gordon Korman
  • The Second Opinion by Michael Palmer
  • Top Ten Uses for an Unworn Prom Dress by Tina Ferraro
  • Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
As you can see, I'm thinking YA and mystery-suspense-thrillers.
