So in a few months my first book titled Dawn of The Shadow will be released. In it I made a hero called Shadow. I wont go into to much about him but he takes the name as an omage to a dark presence he has within himself. It becomes his way splitting himself between who he is and who he really is.
My question is what really makes a hero. Is it personal sacrifice or is it a need to serve something greater then themselves? Most writers I admit create differing reasons for the creation of such being but I wonder if the same motivation exist within thier hero to do something greater then themselves.
