My new mystery is on Amazon Kindle and very soon will be posted as a trade paperback. Called: "The Hurting Game." Nathan...BTW, I live in Saugerties, NY, lived 18 years in Hoboken before I moved here to small country town with a touch of sophistication. Big lifestyle change. I live up high surrounded by woods. People here are really friendly, nobody beeps a horn. Miss NY, lots of friends there, but here I have zero distractions and can write every day. The only work besides my book that I do is as a boxing writer for HBO's boxing website, under the name of Nat Gottlieb, my old newspaper byline. Covered Yankees, Mets, Knicks etc. for The Newark Star-Ledger. Have a great day!

Hi. Thanks for being so welcoming and for the friend invite. I'm completely new to blogging so it will take me a while to find my feet ... and this process will be slowed down somewhat by me being away from my PC from Thursday for a good few days while my wife and I travel 600km to attend my wife's grandmother's 90th birthday celebrations. Cardus: a famous name when I was young, and you were never dreamt of. Neville Cardus was a well-known sporting journalist. No relation, I imagine.

I was surprised by the number of 'welcomes' I received. It was very encouraging. This is the first writing/book blog I've joined. I'm a member of a local writers' guild and have published one book–a mystery. My second novel is a romance and I'm also working on a third novel as well as a children's science fiction short story. I love to write, but never tried to do anything serious until my retirement. I do not know what the "gift" means.
