I'm pretty new to this, I've had my blog going for a week now, but the few followers I've got had offered me lots of tips, one being to join up to this site. So I hope to get better at this and have some fun.
If you would like to check out my blog feel free!!
This is all a lot to take in! Thank you for taking the time to write me. It means a lot. I like the sound of your blog and look forward to getting to know you! Best ~Kelley
Hi Ro! Thanks so much for the warm welcome...in fact, so many people have given me one! I am kind of overwhelmed at the moment, but I'm sure I'll figure it out; it's the feeling I got when I first got a facebook account in '08. xD
I followed your blog, and your book looks really interesting; maybe when i'm finished with my current reading projects i'll check it out. (: Hope you'll follow me back@ booksrmydrug.wordpress.com :D
Hey Ro ! Thank you for the welcome, it was very sweet ! I went to your blog and it was very nice so I am now following you :D If you wanted to check out mine here it is : http://cheerfulreviews.blogspot.com
Thank you for the welcome! I sure am overwhelmed at the moment, so don't be surprised if I come back to ask whatever's confusing me at the moment. :)
I've visited your blog, followed you both on blog and twitter, and entered your giveaway. Thank you for that opportunity, I do love to read mysteries. :)
Hi Roberta. Thank you for your welcome. I'm very happy to say I've subscribed to your website and liked your Facebook page. I would really appreciate it if you would follow my blog in return. I'm only starting out and the support would be nice. :) Thanks
I tried to leave a comment on your recent blog post - but ran into a bunch of tech glitches and it wouldn't load. So, hopped on here so I could touch base with you - so what's pasted in here is what I was going to leave as a comment on the post!
I have been SO enjoying your blog, and I love your reviews. I particularly liked the post you did a while back on the difficulties of geting published and promotion and everything, although I didn't comment at the time. My partner, the non-writer half of our relationship has up and written a children's book out of nowhere and he's been very discouraged by the rigmarole around publication. I've explained to him everything any writer would understand about what he's up against - particularly in children's lit. As a businessman, he operates in a very different paradigm and he's struggling with it.
However, to get back on topic re this post. No, everyone isn't just reading YA, although from the book blogging world that I've become part of comparatively recently, I was beginning to think so too. I do read it and collect it, but I read and collect other genres as well, with one notable fiction exception - murder mysteries! At various times, various people have shoved one under my nose and said, "read this, it's marvelous." And, very likely, many of them were, but I just don't connect with them. It also means I'm in no position at all to say whether or not they've fallen out of favour, as you put it!
I hope things pick up for you. I hope your book takes off. I have infinite respect for anyone who's actually got themself organised and focused enough to write a whole book, because while it's been sitting there in the back of my head for some time, MY book may stay there, for all my aspirations to write more than articles and poems! I don't - for the record - think you're whining, here or in the previous post I referred to. It's refreshing to hear people telling it how it is for them.
Hi Roberta! Thank you for the warm welcome. I followed you on twitter, liked your FB page, and followed your blog via GFC. I read the plot of your novel, it sounds scary and full of suspense. Honestly, I'm not into that kind of story at the moment but I'm interested in reading yours. I marked it as TBR in Goodreads. [BTW, there's nothing written on the page. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12795635-snow-escape]
Hi Roberta. Thank you so much for the warm welcome to Book Blogs. I really appreciate it, and while it's all still very new and overwhelming, it's nice to know that other people are so eager to help! I've followed you on Twitter and GFC :)
