This seems to be working, so here it is:

Please excuse me because I am not a blogger and don't understand the ins and outs of this kind of thing. However I do gave an upcoming deal that I think other authors will find interesting. this all comes about because I ordered far too many hardbacks and paperbacks from the printer. I managed to sell avout 1,500 of them but have more than that number of them left over. Meanwhile I am well down that "long tail" book people talk about.  My book is also available as an ebook through Barnes and Nobel, though its ebook sales have been minimal.

"Letters to Zerky, a Father's Legacy to a Lost Son and a Road Trip Around the World" is an adventure travel memoir about my wife's and my attempt to drive a VW bus around the world back in 1967 and 1968, with our baby and our dog. We made it from Portugal through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Sikkim and Assam, but when we got to the border of Burma we discovered the old Burma Road into China didn't exisit anymore.  So we had to take an airplane to Thailand and Hong Kong.  Like I said, I am now offering a deal on my unsold books which I don't want to remainder. Here it is:

I wrote “Letters to Zerky, a Father’s Legacy to a Lost Son and a Road Trip Around the World” for a number of reasons, the primary one being not to make money but rather, as it says in the Epilogue, to “let us now remember the brave Tarzan who protected us from the little monkey who protected its baby from us.  And let us remember the gentle JoAnne who loved all living things and remembered to say goodbye to her friends the bears in the zoo at Bern.  And let us remember, too, the little blond Zerky who brought peace to the Middle East one snowy night near Mount Ararat where Noah’s Ark came to rest.”

Now here’s is the deal:

1. You send me an email with your shipping address in it.

2. I Media Mail you an autographed “Letters to Zerky.”

 

3. When you receive the book, it will have a hand-written note in it asking you to reimburse me for the shipping cost, which generally works out to be $4.67.

4. You browse through the book, or even wait until you have finished it, before deciding how much you think the book is worth, or how much you think you can afford. In other words, you set the price.

 

5. Then you either mail me a check or email me the money via PayPal.  Here is their link:
