That's really great, Jess. I think it's fantastic that you want to follow your dream. In the beginning I also only wrote for myself and didn't think I was good enough to get published. My husband was also the one that convinced me to share my work. I'll be self publishing Tangi's Teardrops in about three weeks and it's just so exciting. What's your book about? I am here, so bombard away.  I am not self-published so I may not be able to help you when publishing time comes.  Never Slow Dance With A Zombie was published by Tor (McMillan/St. Martin's Press)  The last two are with White Whisker, an independent.  There are tons of independent publishers springing up, so if you don't want the tecchnical bother of self-pubbing you might look into one.
