Hi! Welcome to Book Blogs—if you are in the oftentimes horrific proposal / query letter process and are hunting for that elusive agent OR… if you have decided to go the ebook way…then remember the proposal process isn’t just for agents. A proposal is your marketing strategy! Join me at The Agent Challenge and leave me a comment. Also, I’m giving away the 2012 big book of agents or a book from one of our mentors. Drawing from followers at the end of February!
That's really great, Jess. I think it's fantastic that you want to follow your dream. In the beginning I also only wrote for myself and didn't think I was good enough to get published. My husband was also the one that convinced me to share my work. I'll be self publishing Tangi's Teardrops in about three weeks and it's just so exciting. What's your book about? If you prefer, you can write me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm sure your children will think it's so cool to have a published mum. More reason to keep writing that book. One of them is already cheering you on through your avatar lol
I am here, so bombard away. I am not self-published so I may not be able to help you when publishing time comes. Never Slow Dance With A Zombie was published by Tor (McMillan/St. Martin's Press) The last two are with White Whisker, an independent. There are tons of independent publishers springing up, so if you don't want the tecchnical bother of self-pubbing you might look into one.
