Hi! Welcome to Book Blogs—if you are in the oftentimes horrific proposal / query letter process and are hunting for that elusive agent OR… if you have decided to go the ebook way…then join me at The Agent Challenge. After all, the proposal process isn’t just for agents. A proposal is your marketing strategy!
Hi Tara! I followed your blog. I live in Florida now, but I used to live in Douglas, Ga for a few years. We were practically neighbours. If you get a chance to check out my blog, it's http://bartlebysbookshelf.blogspot.com/
You're welcome, Tara :) I've followed your blog Saga of Safe Haven. The only advice I would give you is to promote your heart out. That's what I've been doing since the eBook version of my debut novel came out. It's tough to get attention when so many novels are flooding the market, so try not to get discouraged. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. I recently did an Internet Radio Interview, which is on my blog under MEDIA, and I'm hoping it helps me. Good luck with your book!!
welcome to the world of being an author. I am not big on offering advice, but I have a series of posts on my blog that can put you in the right frame of mind for success. The series is called The Way I See It. There are three posts so far. If you click on the link below it will take you to the first post in the series. I hope it helps. Feel free to be in touch.
I did three exchanges and this is how it worked, we sent each other copies of the boo or bought each other's book. I did this three times. It was a good kick start as I needed the reviews. I now approach bloggers directly, you do not have guaranteed good reviews, and I had a really bad one and a couple of three's but luckily more 5s than anything and fives from amazing sources like the Midwest Book Review, which is hard to even get them to look at your book. Every review I hope for the best. I just got a three star from an author I became friends with here, and she was embarrased but I was fine and posted it everywhere. You need to remember reviews are opinions, and what someone LOVES, someone else might dislike. You can welcome the new people that join here, join groups and ask for exchanges. I ended up reading three books I would have never read otherwise and it was interesting, but I have a huge pile of books to read, when I am finished with the one I am writing. Also look for people who are within your genre, I could not do that because my book is VERY different. If you need a trailer I used APEX BOOK REVIEW and had a trailer made for around 50USD.

Every month, we get together to come up with a top-ten list of the UK titles we’re most looking forward to – and this month we’re focusing on books published in April 2015. It’s an eclectic mix this month, with two SF titles – Poseidon’s Wake and The Rebirths of Tao – which I would highly […]
