I frequently show my video book traiilers before I talk to a group.  I believe the video draws them ino the storyline.  As you said Lisa, we are a media driven society...very visual.  Thanks for your comments.

enjoyed the mouse on steriods you tube. Hadn't seen it before. My prayers are with you and your family. Our family has taken some hits also. But during some of the unwanted drama, a miracle occured. My youngest son was driving too fast . Then he lost control of the car, left the road, and ended up hitting a tree sidways. It caused what they call "brain shear" and he was unconscious and not breathing when the officer came to the scene. A first responder recessitated him with and ambo bag. Based on the info we got and the way they responded at the hospital, my wife and I initially thought our son had died from the accident. Not only was this fear not borne out, but the story just kept gradually getting better and better: 1. he's alive, 2. neck not broken, 3. he is responding by grabbing our hands, 4. he verbally responded, 5. he has the basic qualities of his personality - it's "him,"  6. he is talking coherently (with delusional stuff while first waking up from periods of sleep), 7. he is remembering events from earlier in the day or the last day or two. 8. He is performing well on the neuropsych tasks, aceing the physical coordination tasks, 9. He is remembering on a long term basis those things which occured after about 2 weeks into recovery (events before two weeks "stuck" awhile and then slipped from memory). 10. By finding an outside neuro doctor, we were able to get him out of the medical "lobster cage" in which the hospital-arranged follow up medical personel would not approve him to return to work (even though he was doing well. Perhaps their legal fears etc. had resulted in a policy that would have caused him unneccesarily to lose his appartment and possibly his job). 11. He was able to perform his job as well as ever, and did not lose his appartment. 12. The fact that he had full-time employment  with medical insurance (only months before the accident, and after a year or two of substitute teacher prior to that, during which he had NO medical insurance) covered all but about 6 K of the $200 K eventual bill. Had the accident happened the previous year, bankruptcy would have been the only option. 

  So much to be thankful for, even though so much has taken and downturn. And the family is still loving and supportive and ready to rebound. The resurrection story is in us and through us. In a way, we are like that mouse. And the strength comes from some deep source within which we call "God." 

   I pray that your family finds some of the same strength, and recieves some better outcomes as well. This is a time of faith. I pray that you feel faith's full force as you face the hard times hitting your family. Please pray for our family as well. We are by no means "out of the woods" yet.

   During my son's two or three day coma in the early stages, I was moved to pray intensely  at his bedside. I saw light weaving his brain cells back together. At one point he was on an ocean shore with my wife and I, and the comforting ocean breezes were blowing on his forehead and helping him heal. Jesus walked him to the shore either during the initial part of that vision or during another vision around the same time. Church members, family and friends came in droves to the hospital and participated in group prayer and offered many individual prayers. Now my son has a full recovery, has returned to work. The officer who pursued my son the day of the crash had a special needs child and did his part to help the courts have mercy on my son (we can only assume that my son had made the wrong choice that day) and we were able to show our gratitude to the officer for saving our son's life by restoring his breathing and getting the emergency squad there quickly.   He is a special ed teacher's assistant. He is currently applying for opening of special ed intervention specialist, which is what his B.A. degree is for (and for elementary ed). Midst bankruptcies, one member of the family being incarcerated, a couple of painful divorces, one family member being in and out of the hospital from infections which somehow appear secondary to late stage M.S., and regular old financial struggles bought on partially by the "great recession" this miracle occurred.
