We started our debate about if this could be a true romance, since Michael, the hero, had sex after meeting the heroine, Renee...I think it can.

Is anyone reading Royal Blood? Its a big read, and consuming. I'm just about done and love all the characters, both fictional and historical...I thought it was going to be a romance, but very early on I could see it wasn't, which is why I found it in the fiction area of the bookstore.

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering since, we're half way through the month how you're liking Royal Blood?
My opinion. I love it. I find Renee, smart and spunky, and for her age not a chick to mess with. Yet, she's very young and has made the mistake of falling in love with the wrong man. Something she does question once she meets Michael. Occasional, even for a history scholar, I get a bit bogged down in the details. But other then that, I love it, and have found it a interesting read.
What do you all think of it.

Hey Susan. Good to see you here. Hi. Yup. Kylie has a lot to learn, too. But what does she learn? I don't know cuz I've only read up to the point where she finds the little girl. What about Trip? And Joel? I would LOVE to know. :)

QUESTION: Who was your favorite character? My fave was Cabe...my heart broke for him when he hugged Janie's leg like a teddy bear. Of course, I was not too happy with him for dreaming about Shay--the rat!

Tonya...I love reading about teens because I feel like they have the most room to grow. They are going through a lot of first time experiences and I love watching them discover who they are and who they are going to become! I am gonna read the next teo books as well...gotta see what happens to Janie. Next month one of the other Angels will choose the book so I'm guessing it won't be a Y.A.

Thanks for letting me know where she got the inspiration, Tonya!

When I got the book, I was shocked to find it in the Young Adult section and kinda growled b/c I have a teenager and I don't want to read about other TEENAGERS!!
I found that I couldn't put it down. I couldn't wait until her next dream sequence. I agree that a lot was left out. I was waiting for her mother to come out of her drunken stuper and tell Janie that she drinks so much b/c she also goes into peoples dreams. I took it that Cabe was maybe older and out of school but then he revealed his background and maybe the chief was looking after him.
I had to read the ending over a couple times b/c I got lost in how Janie found the stash. This was the only time the present tense confused me.
I liked the twist of the older lady that knew she was a dream catcher. I didn't see that one coming. I did figure that one of the residents was going to leave her money b/c that was played up a ton.
Virna= Lisa McMann claims that the book series came in a dream. She dreamed that she was in her husband's dream. It is a triology: The Wake, The Fade, and Gone. I must admit that I will read them all b/c my curiosity is peeked and I want to see what happens to Janie. Maybe she will become Chief.
